Friday 6th September , Heyrieux

Despite to-day being forecast to be still in the mid 30's, we ventured out to the north east a bit to the village of Heyrieux from where we planned to visit the "Collines du Nord Dauphine" the hills of which are criss-crossed with villages dating back to ancient times.
But, surprise, surprise there was the big weekly market on in Heyrieux and the Maccas cannot resist a country market full of all the sausages, olives, cheeses, fruit and veges and clothes and leather goods of the district. We helped the local economy a little before heading off into the hills and their villages, having  lunch in the village of Bonnefamille from the "plat de jour" in the local hotel. It was great and a very filling 4 course meal with wine and bread for 13 euros each.
We continued on the hills' road through towns like Roche, St-Georges-d'Esperanche, Oytier-St-Oblas and St- Just-Chaleyssin.
We made it back to the hotel armed with the goodies from the market and ate sec saucissons, fromage, olives, grapes, tomatoes and crackers and local vin rouge.
Tomorrow we move to our permanent residence for the next two months in St Albans de Varese abot 20 kms away.
